About HSH
Nestled in the little Souris River valley town of Minot, ND, surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields, you can find this quaint old Victorian house turned into a unique gift shop.
Home Sweet Home was built in 1899 by a wealthy railroad man from out East. Over the years it has been single family dwellings as well as three separate apartments. In the spring of 1986 the house stood vacant and came up for sale. It opened in October of 1986 as a 10 room gift shop. The interior structure of the house has remained the same. All that was needed was some paint, wallpaper, some new wiring and insulation and the store was opened.
Home Sweet Home carries a large variety of products such as Boyd's Bears, Yankee Candles, Russ, Ty, over 40 flavors of Gourmet Coffees, soups, teas, dips, old fashioned candies, jewelry, antique and reproduction furniture and much much more. We specialize in North Dakota Made products ranging from soups, dips, pickled garlic, candy, Shed pottery, jams, syrups, Bar B Q sauces, lotions, handmade magnets, photography pictures and watercolor paintings of the region, note cards and more.
